I started shooting professionally as a student at the University of Wisconsin. During 8 years at daily newspapers, I learned a lot about working quickly, handling fast-moving news events, and managing to get great images.

I enjoy covering big events — long legislative sessions, inaugurals, Olympics and Paralympics, multi-venue editorial projects, and multi-day conferences. That’s my idea of fun.

I’m still a photojournalist, shooting politics, breaking news, education issues, sports and issues unique to Texas. Feel free to wander through the six galleries on this site for additional work samples.
