Pricing

The prices we charge depend almost exclusively on what you need. Because every client and every job is unique, Bob Daemmrich Photography doesn’t have a “day rate” or a set price list. After listening to you and discussing what you want, when you need it, and what you’ll do with it, we can develop a fair price that we’re both comfortable with.

Please keep in mind that we are licensing the reproduction rights to the photographs you hire Bob to take. Think of it in terms of renting a car: you pay a reasonable price for the vehicle you want and at the end of the weekend, you return it. You don’t own the car, or even a part of it. You’ve paid to use it.

With Bob’s work, you’re paying for rights to use the picture(s) in the ways we all agree upon—size, placement, press run, length of time used, etc. Generally, the more rights you need, the higher the fee. If your needs change later, we’ll be happy to negotiate with you for additional rights and uses.

Our clients are consistently pleased with our pricing as well as our creative work. We work closely with you to stay within your budget and still provide you with the highest quality of work that Bob is known for producing.

We consider these factors when developing a price:

Creative fee—how much time will the shoot take, including pre- and post-production? How difficult will it be? How much of Bob’s creative expertise will be required? How will the image(s) be used?
Travel time
Mileage
Per diem
Assistant
Film and processing
Digital editing
Prints
CDs
Contact sheets

All expense estimates are subject to normal trade variance of 10%.

Digital Services:
We can perform file conversions, basic image tonal and color corrections, sharpening, re-sizing, previewing on the web and delivery of a specific quantity of final images. Prices vary according to your needs and deadlines.
